The hotel stands on Stationsplein in Voorburg, a few minutes on foot from the Herenstraat and the shops and terraces of the Huygenskwartier, and less than ten minutes by train from the centre of The Hague. Voorburg itself is one of the oldest towns in the country: the remains of the Roman town of Forum Hadriani lie beneath the parks along the Vliet. Madurodam, Huygens’ Hofwijck, the beach at Scheveningen and historic Leiden are all an easy trip away.
Five minutes on foot from the hotel, the Herenstraat and the lanes around it form the Huygenskwartier: independent shops, cafés with terraces and centuries-old facades. Named after Constantijn and Christiaan Huygens, who lived here at Hofwijck.
